Background & Job Description

Emalahleni Local Municipality, based in the Cacadu region, has launched a 12-month Learnership Programme designed to empower local youth and jobseekers with vital workplace skills. The programme combines both theoretical and hands-on training, helping learners transition into the workforce and build a solid foundation for future employment opportunities.

The learnership is offered under the Directorate: Corporate Services and is open to residents of Emalahleni Municipality who meet the basic requirements.

Participants will undergo:

  • 6 months of classroom-based theoretical training, followed by
  • 6 months of practical, on-the-job experience within the municipality.

This programme is ideal for individuals seeking to kick-start their careers in municipal services or administrative support roles.

Education and Certification

  • Applicants over 40 years old must include proof of previous UIF contributions

Additional Information

Stipend:
Each selected participant will receive a monthly stipend of R3000 for the duration of the programme.
