Econofoods, one of South Africa’s leading frozen food and FMCG retailers, is offering learnerships in 2025 for unemployed youth in Gauteng, Free State, Eastern Cape, and Bloemfontein. The 12-month programme is designed to provide practical training and NQF-accredited qualifications in either Retail Operations or Meat Processing.

Qualifications
Education and Certification
- South African citizen with Grade 12 (Matric) certificate
- Not currently studying or enrolled elsewhere
- Documents certified within the last 6 months
- Residing in: Gauteng, Free State, or Eastern Cape
- Willing to work retail hours (for retail learners)
Experience
- No prior work experience required
- Eagerness to learn and complete the full 12-month programme
- Good communication and teamwork skills

- Duration: 12 months (starting 01 August 2025)
- Stipend: R3000 – R4000 per month
