Background & Job Description

Econofoods, one of South Africa’s leading frozen food and FMCG retailers, is offering learnerships in 2025 for unemployed youth in Gauteng, Free State, Eastern Cape, and Bloemfontein. The 12-month programme is designed to provide practical training and NQF-accredited qualifications in either Retail Operations or Meat Processing.

Retail Learnership

Qualifications

Education and Certification

South African citizen with Grade 12 (Matric) certificate
Not currently studying or enrolled elsewhere
Documents certified within the last 6 months
Residing in: Gauteng, Free State, or Eastern Cape
Willing to work retail hours (for retail learners)

Experience

No prior work experience required
Eagerness to learn and complete the full 12-month programme
Good communication and teamwork skills

Duration: 12 months (starting 01 August 2025)
Stipend: R3000 – R4000 per month
