The E T Consultant – Real Estate Project Manager role sits within Corporate Real Estate, specifically focusing on the HQ Real Estate Development and Management division. This role is integral to the delivery of high-quality interior design and fit-out projects for World Bank Group facilities. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for the end-to-end management of interior design projects, ensuring that spaces are functional, aesthetically pleasing, and sustainable. Your role will involve collaborating with stakeholders, managing budgets, overseeing contractors, and utilizing design software tools to bring innovative concepts to life.

Tasks

The E T Consultant – Real Estate Project Manager will be responsible for the following tasks:

Project Leadership and Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with World Bank Group (WBG) management to understand design requirements and create functional, innovative spaces.
  • Communicate regularly with stakeholders and maintain relationships throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Participate in design meetings and construction reviews, offering input and proposing improvements when necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with local building codes, safety regulations, and accessibility standards.
  • Work with the Corporate Responsibility team to incorporate eco-friendly features into designs.
  • Research and integrate industry trends and future work models into project designs.

Design Development and Execution:

  • Conduct space analysis and develop diagrams, site plans, and visual presentations for senior leadership.
  • Create design concepts, mood boards, and architectural drawings, ensuring alignment with project goals.
  • Use design tools (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit) to create 3D models and construction documentation.
  • Review construction documents, including floor plans and material schedules, ensuring that they meet the design specifications.
  • Continuously improve designs based on research and technical expertise.

Procurement and Vendor Coordination:

  • Develop and monitor project budgets, ensuring that all expenditures remain within the approved budget.
  • Oversee the procurement process for materials, furniture, and décor, ensuring timely delivery and quality.
  • Coordinate with contractors and vendors to ensure that design elements are executed as planned.

Project Management and Oversight:

  • Work with project managers and contractors to develop technical drawings and layouts for interior fit-out projects.
  • Oversee the implementation of the design during the construction phase, ensuring design intent and quality control.
  • Manage project timelines and deliverables, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Provide updates to senior management on project progress and address any challenges.
  • Conduct site visits to ensure that the design is being implemented correctly and resolve any issues that arise during construction.

Qualifications

Education and Certification

  • Minimum Education: Master’s degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Urban Planning, or a related field.
  • Experience: At least 5 years of experience in interior design and project management, with a strong portfolio of completed projects.
  • Certifications: Certification from organizations like NCIDQ (National Council for Interior Design Qualification) is preferred.

Skills

  • Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of building codes, construction methods, and materials relevant to interior fit-out projects.
  • Strong project management skills, including budget management, timeline oversight, and vendor coordination.
  • Ability to create and review construction documents, floor plans, and elevations.

Languages

Term & Compensation

  • Term Duration: 1 year, renewable at the discretion of the World Bank Group. The E T Consultant role has a lifetime maximum of three years.
