Objectives of the Programme:
- Provide quality assurance for scientific, technical, and advocacy information related to health.
- Establish mechanisms to screen and process publications in line with WHO policies.
- Implement styles, standards, and guidelines for the preparation and production of health information materials. Assistant Reports Officer Opportunity at WHO
- Support SEAR professional staff and Member States in the production of high-quality information materials.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Under the direct supervision of the Reports Officer and overall guidance of the Director, Programme Management, the Assistant Reports Officer will: Assistant Reports Officer Opportunity at WHO
- Edit reports, technical publications, advocacy materials, and other information products.
- Ensure publications adhere to WHO guidelines, resolving editorial queries in consultation with originators and Reports Officer. Assistant Reports Officer Opportunity at WHO
- Provide feasible solutions, promoting best practices, methods, and tools for high-quality editorial output.
- Assist in quality control activities and oversight of publication quality.

- Attend to other editorial tasks as assigned by Supervisors.
- Perform any other duty as assigned within the field of competence.
Required Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in English Literature, Journalism, publishing, or a closely related field. (Master’s degree is desirable) Assistant Reports Officer Opportunity at WHO
- Experience: At least two years of relevant editing experience in editing publications or journalism. Experience in an international organization, preferably WHO/United Nations System, is desirable.

Remuneration:
- Annual base salary starting at USD 50,377.
- Variable post adjustment (currently USD 1633 per month for the duty station indicated above).
