The Role
As an ICT Intern at UNICEF Beijing, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in leveraging technology to support our mission. Under the supervision of the IT Officer, you will assist in providing IT support to the office, researching innovative tools and solutions, and contributing to improving operational efficiency and program effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities
- System Maintenance and Support:
- Assist in the daily operation and monitoring of IT equipment and systems, including hardware devices, operating systems, and application software.
- Participate in handling basic system failure reports, conduct preliminary diagnosis, and assist in solving or escalating issues as necessary.
- Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain office computers and related hardware and software.
- Technical Document Organization and Update:
- Organize and update various IT technical documents, including user manuals, operation guides, and troubleshooting procedures.
- Classify, archive, and optimize retrieval of existing technical documents to ensure effective management of information resources.
- Project Assistance and Implementation:
- Collaborate with the team to plan, execute, and track IT projects, such as application deployment and network construction.
- Perform data entry, backup, recovery, and basic data analysis tasks under guidance.
- Training and Service:
- Assist in organizing IT skills training for internal employees and provide support for daily software and hardware inquiries.
- Offer basic desktop technical support to help employees resolve computer-related issues.

- Engage in in-depth study of the information technology and tools adopted by UNICEF to enhance technical proficiency.

Qualifications and Requirements
To qualify for this internship, candidates should meet the following criteria:
- Enrolled in a degree program in information technology, computer science, or a related field.

- Fluency in English and Mandarin.
- No immediate relatives working in any UNICEF offices.
