Major Duties and Responsibilities:
- Compiling statistical data, comparing and evaluating alternative data sources, and ensuring data consistency.
- Computing data using statistical and econometric techniques and preparing summary analysis, including summary tables and charts for various reports.
- Developing and maintaining comprehensive cross-country databases and ensuring they meet Fund-wide data management requirements.
- Maintaining relevant computer software and writing, updating, modifying, and executing computer programs for statistical and econometric analysis.
- Initiating analytical work, particularly in econometric analysis, to support research papers and publications.
- Participating in departmental research projects and preparing targeted notes on selected issues relevant to the division’s/department’s work program.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related quantitative field. Competitive candidates may have a Master’s degree in a relevant field.
- Two years of relevant work experience in a similar role.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, including basic functions and formulas.
- Proficiency in analytical, statistical, and econometric software packages like STATA, Eviews, R, TSP, SPSS, Matlab, and SAS.
Preferred:
- Experience in finance, budget, people analytics, macroeconomic data, and writing macroeconomic research reports.
- Proficiency in visual presentation tools like PowerPoint, MS Excel charts, Tableau, Keynote, Prezi, and similar tools.
- Familiarity with database management tools like Power BI, SQL, MS Access, IBM Cognos BI.
- Knowledge of programming tools like Python, C++, or similar.
Critical Competencies:
- Proven ability to manage large and complex databases and develop summary analysis, including tables and charts.
- Strong organizational and data management skills, with the ability to handle multiple responsibilities under tight time constraints.
- Ability to work independently, pay attention to detail, and take responsibility for data accuracy.
- Experience in dealing with various staff levels and responding to inquiries.
