Global Rights Compliance (GRC), founded in 2013, is an international human rights law foundation dedicated to promoting justice through the innovative application of international law. Operating in over 45 countries, including conflict-affected and high-risk areas, GRC specialises in international humanitarian law, international criminal law, and business human rights.

Based in Kyiv, Ukraine, GRC is a key member of the Atrocity Crimes Advisory Group (ACA), established by the US, EU, and UK to assist Ukrainian law enforcement agencies in prosecuting international crimes. GRC’s Mobile Justice Teams (MJTs), composed of legal specialists, work closely with Ukraine’s Office of the Prosecutor General (OPG) to investigate and prosecute atrocity crimes.

The Programme Officer will play a vital role in supporting the organisation’s mission by assisting in the planning, coordination, and management of various programmes. This position is remote, with an initial contract of 12 months and the possibility of extension.


Tasks

  • Implement, coordinate, and manage programmes.
  • Support GRC Management in executing programme activities.
  • Collaborate with teams and stakeholders to ensure smooth operations.
  • Develop project plans, objectives, and timelines.
  • Monitor programme progress against milestones and deliverables.
  • Track key performance indicators and evaluate outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate programme documentation, including project files and reports.
  • Prepare regular progress reports and presentations for stakeholders.
  • Document meetings, decisions, and action items.
  • Assist with budget tracking, expense monitoring, and financial reporting.
  • Coordinate with finance, HR, and procurement teams to allocate resources efficiently.
  • Perform administrative tasks, including invoice checks and timesheet approvals.
  • Organise and coordinate meetings, workshops, and programme-related events.

Qualifications

Education and Certification

  • Relevant degree in project or programme management, business administration, or a related field.

Experience

  • Minimum 5 years of progressively responsible experience in project or programme management.
  • Practical experience in the rule of law area is desirable.
  • Familiarity with post-Soviet legal systems is an advantage.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • High level of attention to detail.

Additional Information

  • Language Skills: Excellent drafting skills in English; Ukrainian language proficiency is an advantage. Oral fluency in English is highly desirable.
  • Contract Duration: 12 months, with potential for extension.
  • Duty Station: Remote.
