Job Description:
Purpose of the Position:
The ICT Director will provide strategic leadership and management for the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) department at World Vision Burundi. The role involves establishing information management as a critical business enabler, fostering digital transformation, and ensuring effective IT risk management. Major Responsibilities:
- IT Leadership and Digital Enablement:
- Align IT plans with the national office (NO) strategy.
- Develop and champion Digital Transformation plans.
- Foster a culture of digital dexterity across the organization.
- ICT Planning:
- Develop IT Annual Operating Plans (AOP).
- Manage IT budgets and ensure adherence to service model pricing.
- Lead effective ICT service delivery within the national office and field offices.
- ICT Operations:
- Ensure appropriate ICT infrastructure and connectivity solutions.
- Provide and maintain personal productivity tools and business applications.
- Implement and manage IT projects adhering to partnership standards.

- Workforce Planning, Performance Management & Capacity Building:
- Champion a high-performance IT team.
- Lead the adoption of the staff performance and capability framework.

- IT Service Management, SLA & Customer Experience:
- Ensure reliable and secure delivery of IT services.
- Develop and monitor IT business processes and KPIs.

- Vendor Management:
- Advise on vendor relationships and contract development.

- IT Risk Management and Audit Recommendations:
- Prepare and update the Risk Register.
- Proactively identify and mitigate IT-related risks.
- Support internal and global audits and implement recommendations.
- Others:
- Handle special assignments as appropriate.
- Attend devotional/chapel meetings as scheduled.
Knowledge/Qualifications for the Role:
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.
- 6 years of relevant technical or business work experience, with 3 years at a management level.
- Working knowledge of Office 365.
- Preferred: ITIL Certification, Project Management (PMP or Prince2), Microsoft and Cisco certifications.
