Background & Job Description

The African Leadership Academy (ALA) is now accepting applications for its Class of 2026, a transformative two-year pre-university program for exceptional African youth. The ALA aims to develop the next generation of African leaders by equipping students with the academic and leadership tools necessary to make a lasting impact on the continent.

The program brings together talented young minds from across Africa into one community dedicated to solving the continent’s most pressing challenges—economic, political, and social. ALA offers a rigorous curriculum that blends academics with real-world leadership experiences.

Tasks

• Participate in a full-time residential academic and leadership program.
• Engage in interdisciplinary learning across subjects like mathematics, English, entrepreneurial leadership, and African studies.
• Contribute to community leadership projects on and off campus.
• Collaborate with fellow students on continent-wide innovation initiatives.

Qualifications

Education and Certification

• Applicants must currently be in high school or recently completed their secondary school education.
• Must have demonstrated strong academic performance and improvement.

Experience

• A track record of leadership potential in school or community settings.
• Experience initiating or contributing to projects with social or economic impact is a plus.
• Must be born on or after September 1, 2006.
