Tasks
The Research, Campaigns, and Communication Assistant will undertake a variety of essential tasks, including:
- Assisting in research, advocacy, and communication efforts to support human rights initiatives across West and Central Africa.
- Monitoring political and human rights developments in the region to ensure up-to-date reporting and advocacy efforts.
- Supporting the creation, distribution, and management of reports, campaign materials, and internal documentation.
- Acting as a key liaison between internal and external stakeholders, managing inquiries and requests for information.
- Providing logistical support for field research and advocacy campaigns, including budget preparation and coordination of travel arrangements.
- Contributing to crisis response initiatives, assisting in emergency advocacy and intervention strategies.
- Developing and maintaining effective administrative and communication systems to ensure smooth organizational operations.

Qualifications
Education and Certification
- A bachelor’s degree in human rights, political science, international relations, communications, or a related field is preferred.
- Certification in research methodology, communications, or advocacy is an added advantage.
Experience
- Proven experience in human rights research, advocacy, or campaigning.
- Strong background in monitoring political and social issues affecting West and Central Africa.
- Experience in office management, information databases, and administrative coordination.
- Knowledge of content creation, editing, and proofreading, particularly in the human rights sector.
- Experience in coordinating events, managing logistics, and organizing field missions.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work in a team-oriented environment and engage with diverse stakeholders.
