The United Nations Foundation is offering a Part-Time Internship with the U.S. Climate Alliance Secretariat. The role is fully remote, allowing interns to work from anywhere within the continental United States.
This opportunity provides students with exposure to U.S. state-level climate policy and actions aimed at reducing greenhouse gas emissions. Interns will engage in research, drafting policy briefings, tracking federal climate policy, and supporting coordination across states and partners.
Tasks
Intern responsibilities include:
- Supporting preparation of materials for major Alliance meetings and workshops.
- Assisting in the implementation of the Inflation Reduction Act by researching trends and challenges at the state level.
- Tracking federal climate policies, funding opportunities, and preparing weekly/quarterly newsletters.
- Contributing to policy development, peer-to-peer learning, and general coordination support.
- Carrying out additional support tasks as assigned.

Qualifications
Education and Certification
- Must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program.
Experience & Skills
- Strong research, writing, and communication skills.

- Familiarity or interest in federal climate policy.
- Ability to present complex technical information clearly.
- Must be responsible, flexible, collaborative, and motivated.
- Fluency in English required.
