Background & Job Description
The 10.000 Black Interns Programme is an initiative that provides paid internship opportunities across over 40 industries in the UK. It aims to address underrepresentation by offering access to professional networks, practical work experience, and pathways into long-term careers.
Participants will be matched with host organisations based on their selected areas of interest and application responses. This programme builds confidence, skills, and professional exposure for young Black talent.
Tasks
Successful interns will:
- Complete a paid internship in Summer 2026.
- Gain experience in one of 40+ business sectors.
- Contribute to real workplace projects.
- Build networks and enhance career prospects.
Qualifications (Education and Certification, Experience) 10.000 Black Interns Programme 2026
To apply, candidates must:
- Be of Black African, Black Caribbean, Black British, or mixed Black heritage.
- Have the right to work full-time in the UK during Summer 2026.
- Meet at least one of these criteria:
- Studying at a UK university (undergraduate or postgraduate level).
- Recently graduated from a UK university (2022 onwards).
- Aged 18+, on a gap year, with a confirmed place at a UK university.
Additional Information
- Applicants will select three sectors of interest and explain why in up to 250 words each.
- Applications will be shared with participating organisations for consideration.
- This programme is run by the 10,000 Interns Foundation.
